Hard Hats for Mariners

A variety of hard hats were on display as passengers prepared to board the USCGC Eagle near the Golden Gate Bridge in June. The Coastie in the background (black helmet) seems to have some variation of a Type II Class C; the blue hat in the foreground is the more traditional Type 1. Note the white helmets are also equipped with ear protection.
