Arrested Russian ship in Newfoundland may soon get new owner

(ST. JOHN’S, Newfoundland) — The owner of an arrested Russian cargo ship stranded at St. John’s may have found a buyer for the vessel, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported. The crew of the Luybov Orlova reported that the owner is in the process of making a deal. The crew haven’t been paid for five months, and the ship has been tied up at St. John’s for over three weeks because of a debt to a Canadian creditor.
