Alberta ferry captain makes 80 crossings a day (VIDEO, PHOTOS)

(PEACE RIVER, Alberta) — A tugboat captain who operates the Shaftesbury Ferry can make as many as 80 crossings a day, the Edmonton Journal newspaper reported. The tugboat pushes the car-ferry vessel across the Peace River from April to December. Traffic on the ferry is increasing to include oilfield workers and farm machinery.
