Tech upgrade puts TWIC card services on hold

(WASHINGTON) — The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is upgrading its technology to improve reliability, expand capabilities and more effectively support TSA’s mission. During the system upgrade, specific card services for the Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) will be temporarily unavailable.

Services for card transfers, card replacements and extended expiration dates (EED) are now unavailable through Sunday, May 4.

Card pickup, activation and personal identification number (PIN) resets will be unavailable from Saturday, April 26 through Sunday, May 4.
