(ROTTERDAM, Netherlands) — The Korean Register of Shipping (KR) classification society has appointed Radio Holland to be worldwide service supplier. The appointment certifies Radio Holland Group offices around the world to service and test radio communication and voyage data recorder equipment on board of KR-classed ships and offshore platforms, in accordance with the rules and regulations of this society.
Radio Holland is able to support its global customer base for nearly all major classification societies. As such, Radio Holland performs various survey activities such as radio, navigational (AIS), SSAS, BNWAS, EPIRB, ECDIS surveys and (S)VDR annual performance tests. In 2015 more than 240 worldwide operating surveyors of Radio Holland performed over 14.000 surveys and approximately 19,000 compliance checks. For many years Radio Holland has been the worldwide representative of various other IACS and non-IACS classification societies such as DNV-GL, Lloyd’s Register (LR), China Classification Society (CCS), Class NK (NKK), RINA, American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), RMRS (Russia), IRS (India) the Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA).
