(PORTLAND, Maine) — The city’s fire department will discipline personnel involved in a recent grounding which seriously damaged the department’s new fire boat, the Portland Press Herald newspaper reported. The City of Portland IV crashed into a submerged ledge, which was marked. The fire chief said the accident should have been prevented, and all fireboat personnel are undergoing a review to make sure they understand navigation practices.
