Fla. gambling ship faces labor turmoil, Coast Guard deadline

(RIVIERA BEACH, Fla.) — The gambling ship Palm Beach Princess has mostly solved its recent labor problems, but the vessel now faces a Tuesday deadline to repair its main engine, the Palm Beach Post newspaper reported. The Coast Guard set the deadline after the ship lost engine power three months ago. Since then, tugboat have been pulling the casino vessel out to sea and back, but the operator risks having the Coast Guard order the ship to dry dock if doesn’t have a new engine or a detailed repair plan by Tuesday.
