Ferry trapped in ice for two days off Cape Breton

(SYDNEY, Nova Scotia) — A passenger ferry with at least 200 passengers aboard was freed from ice today by a Canadian Coast Guard icebreaker, the CBC reported. The vessel Caribou was on its way to Sydney from Newfoundland when it became trapped in ice Tuesday off Cape Breton. The icebreaker was the Louis St. Laurent.
