Crippled box ship sparks security debate at Savannah

The 796-foot container ship MSC Korea lost power Dec. 4 and grounded while leaving Savannah. The Coast Guard ordered the refloated ship to be towed to the closest berth, which was at the Elba Island LNG import facility. Now, local officials and activists are worried that allowing such a docking could pose a security threat to the LNG terminal, the Savannah Morning News reported.
