(HONOLULU) — Hawaii State Auditor Marion Higa issued a report concluding that the Hawaii Superferry’s harbor improvement system is ‘inadequate’. The audit said state officials decided to use the system of barges and ramps because it was the quickest solution instead of the best. The system has proved to be problematic, requiring expensive maintenance.
