Artificial Reef Society relinquishes ownership of Canadian ship

(BRIDGEWATER, Nova Scotia) — The national government is taking over ownership of the HMCS Fraser, the news Web site southshorenow.ca reported. The Artificial Reef Society of Nova Scotia had owned the 56-year-old military ship but could not afford to continue maintaining it. The military may refurbish the vessel, scrap it or sink it for use as an artificial reef.
